Control of entanglement sudden death by Kerr medium

Chinese Physics B, 2008
The entanglement dynamics of system, where atoms A and B interact with single mode cavity fields a and b respectively, is studied. The interaction between atom A and cavity a may be described by using the typical Jaynes–Cummings model, while that between the atom B and cavity b filled with a Kerr medium is of a two-photon process. For a certain initial

Coherent and ultrafast manipulation of entanglement sudden death and recurrence

Optics Letters, 2010
We investigate the entanglement dynamics of the bipartite system, consisting of two interacting two-level atoms in QED, which are driven additionally by coherent double ultrashort laser pulses characterized by various phase differences. Results show that the relative phase difference can exert significant influence on the entanglement evolution, such ...

Determining Separability with Entanglement of Formation and Entanglement Sudden Death

Chinese Physics Letters, 2015
An algorithm is developed to calculate the entanglement of formation for bipartite quantum states to determine numerically the sufficient condition of separability. The algorithm is applied to two 3×3 positive partial transpose states mixed with white noise.

A NEW FEATURE ON THE SUDDEN DEATH OF ENTANGLEMENT

Modern Physics Letters B, 2008
Based on the exactly analytic solution obtained of the intensity-dependent Jaynes–Cummings model for a certain class of initial entangled mixed states, we explore the time evolution of the entanglement between two atoms, initially non-locally correlated and separately interacting with two distinct cavities.

Experimental Demonstration of Largeness in Bipartite Entanglement Sudden Death

Chinese Physics Letters, 2011
Quantum coherence is the most distinct feature of quantum mechanics. However, inevitable decoherence processes will finally destroy it and make the "Schrodinger's cat" invisible in our classical world. In this "quantum-to-classical transition", the so-called "largeness" plays a critical role.

Sudden death of entanglement of a quantum model

Chinese Physics, 2007
In this paper the so-called sudden death effect of entanglement is investigated in a quantum model. The results show that one can expect the resurrection of the original entanglement to occur in a periodic way following each sudden death event. The length of the time interval for the zero entanglement depends not only on the degree of entanglement of ...

A STUDY ON THE SUDDEN DEATH AND SUDDEN BIRTH OF ENTANGLEMENT IN AN OPEN SYSTEM

International Journal of Quantum Information, 2009
In this paper, we consider the entanglement dynamics of two cavities interacting with independent reservoirs. When the cavity entanglement suddenly disappeared, the reservoir entanglement suddenly and necessarily appears. We study the effect of purity of initial entangled state of two cavities on the entanglement evolution, and acquire that the purity

Delayed sudden birth and sudden death of entanglement in Josephson-charge qubits

Laser Physics, 2009
Distinctive features of the entanglement dynamics of a circuit containing two-coupled superconducting charge qubits are explored. The striking effects of junction coupling on the entanglement are presented in terms of the concurrence. We also point out the importance effects of initial state selection for obtaining different features of entanglement ...
