Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A Novel Conjugate Gradient Algorithm as a Convex Combination of Classical Conjugate Gradient Methods

open access: yesKurdistan Journal of Applied Research
Conjugate gradient (CG) algorithms are constructive for handling large-scale nonlinear optimization problems. One optimization technique intended to address unconstrained optimization issues effectively is the hybrid conjugate gradient (HCG) algorithm ...

A new accelerated conjugate gradient method for large-scale unconstrained optimization

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this paper, we present a new conjugate gradient method using an acceleration scheme for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization. The generated search direction satisfies both the sufficient descent condition and the Dai–Liao conjugacy condition

New Scale Dai-Yaun Conjugate Gradient Method for Unconstrained Optimization [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Rafidain Journal of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, 2013
Conjugate gradient algorithm is widely used for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization problems, because they do not need the storage of matrices.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

New Conjugate Gradient Method for Unconstrained Optimization with Logistic Mapping

open access: yesScience Journal of University of Zakho, 2016
In this paper , we suggested a new conjugate gradient algorithm for unconstrained optimization based on logistic mapping, descent condition and sufficient descent condition for our  method are provided. Numerical results show that our presented algorithm

Efficient hybrid conjugate gradient techniques for vector optimization

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization
Scalarization approaches transform vector optimization problems (VOPs) into single-objective optimization but have trade-offs: information loss, subjective weight assignments, and limited representation of the Pareto front.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
