Sound‐Insulation Performance of Polylactic Acid Parts 3D Printed by Fused Filament Fabrication with Functionally Graded Porous Structure for Effective Noise Reduction

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study examines the sound absorption properties of fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D‐printed polylactic acid parts with functionally graded porous structures and controlled pore sizes. It analyzes the influence of infill densities on acoustic performance of printed parts.

Utilization of Catla catla Fish Scale for Eliminating Cr (III) and Co (II) Heavy Metals From Wastewater

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract represents fish scales, a waste by product, were repurposed as a bio‐adsorbent for Cr(III) and Co(II) removal. The scales were washed, dried, and ground before being tested under varying concentrations. FTIR analysis showed changes in functional groups after adsorption, while SEM revealed metal ion attachment.

Synthesis, Structure, and Properties of Polyhydroxybutyrate Derived from Azotobacter Vinelandii N‐15

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
The bacterium Azotobacter vinelandii N15 synthesizes polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) from sugar production waste. The study reveals the molecular composition, crystallinity, and thermal behavior of the synthesized biopolymer. Mechanical tests demonstrated high tensile strength and relatively low elongation at break. These properties highlight PHB's potential
