Abstract Aim This paper explored the differences in perspectives on the core competencies of nurse preceptors among postgraduate‐year nurses, clinical nursing preceptors and head nurses. Design Cross‐sectional design with nominal group technique (NGT). Method The sample consisted of 32 postgraduate‐year nurses, 42 preceptors and 27 head nurses.
