Study on the compatibility of the blend of poly(aryl ether ether ketone) with poly(aryl ether sulfone)

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1990
AbstractPoly(aryl ether ether ketone) is found to be compatible with poly(aryl ether sulfone) at a blending temperature 310°C. There is a single glass transition temperature (Tg) for various compositions of the blend. The relationship ofTgwith composition obeys Gordon‐Taylor's equation, where the adjustable parameter k is 0.43.

Ionic crosslinking of imidazolium functionalized poly(aryl ether ketone) by sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) for anion exchange membranes

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2017
Two N3-substituted imidazoles 1,2-dimethylimidazole and 1-butyl-2-methylimidazole were chosen to functionalize poly(aryl ether ketone), respectively. The generated imidazolium cations could electrostatically react with sulfonate ions of the sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) forming the ionic crosslinking structure of the membranes.

Poly(vinylbenzyl sulfonic acid)-grafted poly(ether ether ketone) membranes

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2014
Abstract In this study, an aromatic hydrocarbon based polymer electrolyte membrane, poly(vinylbenzyl sulfonic acid)-grafted poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK- g -PVBSA), has been prepared by the simultaneous irradiation grafting of vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) monomer onto a PEEK film and subsequent sulfonation.

Sulfonated carbon nanotubes/sulfonated poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone) composites for polymer electrolyte membranes

Polymers for Advanced Technologies, 2011
AbstractA series of composite membranes consisting of sulfonated carbon nanotubes (sCNTs) and sulfonated poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone) were successfully fabricated via the solution casting method. The chemical structure, as well as the long‐term stability of the sCNTs in different solvents, was investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR)

Studies on Proton Conductivity and Methanol Permeability of Poly(ether sulfone)/Sulfonated Poly(ether ether ketone) Blend Membranes

MRS Proceedings, 2008
AbstractPartially Sulfonated Poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) samples were prepared by modification of corresponding poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) with concentrated sulfuric acid. Poly(ether sulfone)(PES) was blended into SPEEK to prepare PES/SPEEK blend membranes by solution casting.

Sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) and sulfonated Poly(1,4-phenylene ether ether sulfone) membranes for vanadium redox flow battery

Nafion® is a currently used Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) in Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRB). It is an excellent proton conducting and fully hydrated membrane, but it has a very high cost. In order to reduce the cost of the membrane used in VRB and to reduce the vanadium permeability across the membrane during the operation, sulfonated poly (ether
