Prussian blue-derived Fe2O3/sulfur composite cathode for lithium-sulfur batteries
Porous Fe2O3 was prepared by simple annealing of preformed Prussian blue that was synthesized from a wet chemistry method. The obtained porous Fe2O3 nanoparticles were then mixed with sulfur and used as cathode for lithium-sulfur batteries.

The Marine Organic Sulfur Cycle
Organic sulfur (OS) in the ocean is produced in vast quantities by primary producers that fix inorganic sulfate into proteins, metabolites, and other ubiquitous biomolecules. As biogenic OS is transported and transformed through the marine environment, it is joined by OS from two additional sources: abiogenic OS from sulfurization under anoxic ...

Sulfur cycling in freshwater sediments
Organic sulfur containing compounds represent greater than 80% of the total sulfur in sediments of eutrophic freshwater lakes. Although sedimentary sulfur is predominantly in the form of organic compounds, more sulfur is transformed by sulfate reduction ...
