Studying the Electron Energy Distribution Function (EEDF) and Electron Transport Coefficients in SF6 – He Gas Mixtures by Solving the Boltzmann Equation

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2017
The Boltzmann equation has been solved using (EEDF) package for a pure sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas and its mixtures with buffer Helium (He) gas to study the electron energy distribution function EEDF and then the corresponding transport coefficients ...

Thermal accommodation in nanoporous silica for vacuum insulation panels

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermofluids, 2020
The thermal accommodation coefficient is a measure for the quality of thermal energy exchange between gas molecules and a solid surface. It is an important parameter to describe heat flow in rarefied gases, for example, in aerospace or vacuum technology.

Overview of Diagnostic Ultrasound Safety

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 3, Page 487-496, March 2026.
Ultrasound is widely regarded as a safe imaging modality; however, emerging ultrasound‐based techniques—such as shear wave elastography and contrast‐enhanced ultrasound—operate with varying acoustic output parameters that may approach or exceed traditional diagnostic limits. As these technologies are increasingly integrated into human research studies,

High Pressure Stabilizes the Elusive Hexacoordinated Carbon

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 2, February 2026.
The MCF6 species (M = Ca, Sr) is more stable than the bicomponent MF2…CF4 mixture in the solid‐state at high pressure (p > 400 GPa). The main building block is the [CF6]2− unit in which carbon is hexacoordinated. Unusually high coordination number for elements has been of great interest in chemistry.
