Fatty acids (FAs) in oilseeds are important for human health. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is a popular analytical technology for FAs measurement. FAs need to be derivatized into fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs), which is essential for GC-

Mechanistic study of secondary organic aerosol components formed from nucleophilic addition reactions of methacrylic acid epoxide [PDF]
Recently, methacrylic acid epoxide (MAE) has been proposed as a precursor to an important class of isoprene-derived compounds found in secondary organic aerosol (SOA): 2-methylglyceric acid (2-MG) and a set of oligomers, nitric acid esters, and sulfuric ...

BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.

Determination of chlorinated fatty acids using SPE, XSD and GC/MS [PDF]
Chlorinated fatty acids (ClFAs) account for a considerable portion of the extractable, organically bound chlorine (EOCl) in aquatic animals. Because of analytical difficulties little is as of yet known about their behaviour in organisms.

Highly Diastereo- and Enantioselective Allylboration of Aldehydes using alpha-Substituted Allyl/Crotyl Pinacol Boronic Esters via in Situ Generated Borinic Esters [PDF]
Readily available, alpha-substituted allyl/crotyl pinacol boronic esters often give low E/Z selectivity (with Z favored) in reactions with aldehydes. We found that addition of nBuLi to the pinacol boronic ester followed by trapping of the alkoxide with ...

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Aromatic Amines in Organic Synthesis Part III; p-Aminocinnamic Acids and Their Methyl Esters
Fifteen amine derivatives of cinnamic acid were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding benzaldehydes and malonic acid. The selected acids were then converted into methyl esters.
