Bounded index, entire solutions of ordinary differential equations and summability methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1981
A brief survey of recent results on functions of bounded index and bounded index summability methods is given. Theorems on entire solutions of ordinary differential equations with polynomial coefficients are included.

On |A|k summability factors of infinite series; pp. 201–206 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2010
In an earlier paper (Rhoades, B. E. and Savaş, E. Some necessary conditions for absolute matrix summability factors. Indian J. Pure Appl. Math., 2002, 33(7), 1003–1009) the authors obtained necessary conditions for the series ∑ an to be absolutely ...

Ergodic Actions and Spectral Triples [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this article, we give a general construction of spectral triples from certain Lie group actions on unital C*-algebras. If the group G is compact and the action is ergodic, we actually obtain a real and finitely summable spectral triple which satisfies

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On two new types of statistical convergence and a summability method - doi: 10.4025/actascitechnol.v36i1.16206

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Technology, 2014
In this paper, we introduce and investigate relationship among I-statistically Delta_r^s -convergent, I-lambda-statistically Delta_r^s-convergent and I-[V, lambda, Delta_r^s]-summable sequences respectively over normed linear ...

Summability-Preserving Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1961
PROOF. Every subsequence of { Xn} converges, so that every subsequence of {f(xn) } is A-summable, by hypothesis. By [I], applied to complex sequences, {f(xn) } is actually convergent. (For the proof of [I] can be modified to apply to complex sequences.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
