Evaluation of Summer Squash Genotypes (Cucurbita pepo L.) under Tropical Conditions

Ecology, Environment and Conservation
The investigation was carried out in a farmer’s field Sorakalnatham, Natrampalli taluk, Tirupattur district, Tamil Nadu during 2022. The experimental design used was randomized block layout with three replications and twenty genotypes. In results indicate the genotype were significantly differed in growth and yield attributes.

Correlation and Path Analysis for Yield and Its Contributing Traits in Summer Squash (Cucurbita pepo L.)

Journal of Experimental Agriculture International
A popularly grown cucurbit for its dietary and economic benefits is Summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.), a nutritionally significant vegetable. Scince yield-related features are polygenic and strongly interact with environmental factors, there is limited potential for yield improvement in this crop. This study used a randomized complete block design with

Influence of root restriction on two cultivars of summer squash (Cucurbita pepoL.)

Journal of Plant Nutrition, 1993
Abstract Variable root restricting conditions were imposed on summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.) cultivars ‘Senator’ and Dixie’ using container sizes of 0.35, 2.00, and 7.60 liters. Nondestructive and destructive plant sampling were conducted to evaluate leaf area production, dry weight accumulation and partitioning, crop growth rate and net ...

Factors affecting haploid induction through in vitro gynogenesis in summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.)

Scientia Horticulturae, 2007
Abstract Haploid production using in vitro ovule cultures has long been recognized as an important tool to produce haploid and homozygous double-haploid plants for genetic studies and plant breeding programs. In the present study, four experiments were carried out to study the influence of genotype, position of female flowers on plant stem ...
