OPTIMIZATION OF A SUN VECTOR DETERMINATION FOR PINHOLE TYPE SUN SENSOR
The sun vector is commonly used for defining a satellite attitude and many types of sensors exist for its determination. An attitude determination system is designed for each satellite project based on missions’ requirements. A fine pinhole sun sensor type was chosen and designed for HORYU-IV nanosatellite of Kyushu Institute of Technology. This sensor

A sun sensor implemented with an asynchronous luminance vision sensor
A sun sensor implemented with a spiking pixel matrix is reported. It is the very first one based on an asynchronous event-based pixel array. A paradigm associated to classic digital sun sensors is solved with this approach. Only pixels illuminated by the sun light are readout. Hence, the output data flow is quite reduced.

BepiColombo fine sun sensor [PDF]
Design, development and verification of the passive Fine Sun Sensor (FSS) for the BepiColombo spacecraft is described. Major challenge in the design is to keep the detector at acceptable temperature levels while exposed to a solar flux intensity exceeding 10 times what is experienced in Earth orbit. A mesh type Heat Rejection Filter has been developed.

Space Radiation Effect on Si Solar Cells [PDF]
High energy charged particles are trapped by geomagnetic field in the region named Van Allen Belt. These particles can move to low altitude along magnetic field and threaten even low altitude spacecraft.

Error Compensation for Area Digital Sun Sensor [PDF]
Compared to the error factors of the Linear Array Digital Sun Sensor (DSS), those of the Area Array DSS are complicated and methods used for error compensation are not valid or simple enough. This paper presents the main error factors of the Area Array DSS and proposes an effective method to compensate them.

Automatic application object migration in sensor networks
Object migration in wireless sensor networks has the potential to reduce energy consumption for a wireless sensor network mesh. Automated migration reduces the need for the programmer to perform manual static analysis to find an efficient layout solution.
