Matn Criticism and Its Role in the Evaluation of Hadith Authenticity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
For centuries, Muslim community has taken ‘ulūm al-ḥadīth for granted as a valid method in hadith verification; if a hadith is declared as an authentic hadith after examined using the method, then they will accept the hadith as an authentic one ...

Grazing and cover crop effects on soil health during transition to organic production

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract The authors studied the efficacy of six objective‐based, reduced tillage cover cropping systems with or without livestock grazing to induce changes in soil condition and soil health on a fine sandy loam during the organic transition phase in the northern Great Plains.

Insecticides outweigh rye cover crop in triggering secondary pest outbreaks

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 12, Page 7971-7984, December 2025.
Insecticides outweigh rye cover crop in triggering secondary pest outbreaks. Zeus Mateos‐Fierro*, Ashley Leach, Ian Kaplan. Spider mite and melon aphid outbreaks are enhanced with broad‐spectrum insecticides, while natural enemies are reduced. However, rye cover crop has little effect on either pest or natural enemy populations.

Crop performance and profitability for the initial transition years of a regenerative cropping system in the Upper Midwest United States

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Quality, Volume 54, Issue 6, Page 1572-1585, November/December 2025.
Abstract The transition from conventional to more regenerative cropping systems can be economically risky due to variable transition period yields and unforeseen costs. We compared yields and economic returns for the first 3 years of the transition from a business as usual (BAU) conventional corn (Zea mays)–soybean (Glycine max) rotation to an ...

Carbon and nitrogen release from cover crop roots is poorly predicted by their chemical composition

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 117, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
Abstract Root‐derived carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) release in relation to chemical composition has rarely been quantified in field studies. The objectives of this study were to evaluate C and N release from six summer cover crop roots and to correlate it with their chemical composition. Root decomposition and N release from velvet bean (Mucuna aterrima),

Gene Family Expansions Provide Molecular Flexibility Required for Context‐Dependent Species Interactions

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 28, Issue 9, September 2025.
We explore how the evolution of molecular complexity through gene family expansions is essential for regulating arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis in different environmental contexts. Specifically, we use comparative genomics across 42 angiosperms to: (1) demonstrate gene family expansions underpin context‐dependent gene expression regulating symbiosis, (

The abundance and phenology of four common agromyzid leafmining flies (Diptera: Agromyzidae) and their associated parasitoid wasps in southern Victoria

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 64, Issue 3, August 2025.
Abstract Three polyphagous agromyzid leafminers, Liriomyza sativae Blanchard, Liriomyza huidobrensis (Blanchard) and Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess), have recently invaded mainland Australia, posing a threat to horticultural crops. Overseas, these species are often effectively controlled by local hymenopteran parasitoids.
