Prime editing in neuropsychiatric disorders: From mutation‐specific target selection to clinical translation

open access: yesNeuroprotection, EarlyView.
Abstract Prime editing, a novel clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)‐based technology, fuses a reverse transcriptase (RT) to an engineered CRISPR‐associated protein 9 (Cas9) and uses a prime editing guide RNA (pegRNA)‐encoded template.

An upper limit prediction of the peak sunspot number for solar cycle 24

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate, 2011
In this paper we address the prediction of the maximum sunspot number in solar cycle 24. We correlate the integral sunspot activity related to the variability of the cycle decrease speed in the declining phase with the height of the next sunspot maximum.

Eriope barrinhae (Lamiaceae, Hyptidinae), a new montane species from northern Minas Gerais, Brazil

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
In northern Minas Gerais, in the Monte Azul region, the Pico da Formosa mountain remains poorly explored botanically despite recent discoveries of new taxa. During fieldwork at the summit of this mountain, we discovered a distinctive population of Eriope that differs from all known species by a unique combination of morphological characters.

A likely outcome of the sunspot peaks' influence on the North Atlantic Oscillation and Europe in winter

open access: yesMeteorologische Zeitschrift, 2014
The effect on the North Atlantic Oscillation of 15 sunspot peaks depends on whether the Oscillation is in-phase or out-of-phase with the sunspot peaks. When it is in-phase the anomalies of sea-level pressure adds to the average pressure distribution, and

Diagnosing the 11‐year solar cycle's influence on the East Atlantic pattern

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
A previously unidentified solar‐cycle response in the East Atlantic pattern is found in late winter at lag +3 years with larger amplitude than the NAO response. A statistically significant NAO response to the solar cycle is seen in late winter at lag 0 years.

The Functional Role and Molecular Characterization of the Therapeutic Target CLDN6 in Germ Cell Tumors

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The tight junction protein CLDN6 has been identified as a cancer‐associated cell surface marker that is rarely expressed in healthy tissues. In testicular germ cell tumors (GCT), CLDN6 is particularly detectable in seminomas, embryonal carcinomas, and choriocarcinomas.

Solar Cycle 25 Prediction Using N-BEATS

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Solar activities lead to Sun variation with an 11 yr periodicity. The periodic variation affects space weather and heliophysics research. So it is important to accurately predict solar cycle variations. In this paper, we predicted the ongoing Solar Cycle
