From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Experimental Study on Sedimentation Characteristics of Foundation Piles under Super-Large Tonnage Static Load Test

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2019
Abstract Based on the combination of theoretical analysis and site test, regard-ing to sedimentation problem of super-large tonnage static load test, this paper studies pile sedimentation, lateral friction resistance of pile, pile tip resistance, rel-ative displacement of pile and other physical and mechanical changes characteris-tics ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Field study on bearing capacity and deformation characteristics of large-diameter and long-length rock-socketed piles

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Rock-socketed piles with large diameter have gradually become the preferred foundation type for large-scale structures under complex geological conditions due to their advantages such as high bearing capacity and low settlement.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Dynamic SDN Controller Load Balancing

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2019
The software defined networking (SDN) paradigm separates the control plane from the data plane, where an SDN controller receives requests from its connected switches and manages the operation of the switches under its control.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Experimental Study on Vertical Bearing Characteristics of Post-Grouting Piles with Super-Long and Large-Diameter with Double-Load Box

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To investigate the bearing characteristics of super-long and large-diameter cast-in-place piles with combined pile-end and pile-side post-grouting, double-load-box self-balanced static-load tests were conducted on two such piles of the Yellow River ...

Numerical Study on Hysteretic Behaviour of Horizontal-Connection and Energy-Dissipation Structures Developed for Prefabricated Shear Walls

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
This study proposed a developed horizontal-connection and energy-dissipation structure (HES), which could be employed for horizontal connection of prefabricated shear wall structural system. The HES consists of an external replaceable energy dissipation (
