Improved RDN image super-resolution reconstruction network based on multi-scale feature fusion
An improved RDN image super-resolution reconstruction network incorporating multi-scale residual dense network (MSRDN) was proposed to address the problem of inadequate use of image features in common single-image super-resolution (SISR) reconstruction ...

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Super-resolution reconstruction for a single image based on self-similarity and compressed sensing
Super-resolution image reconstruction can achieve favorable feature extraction and image analysis. This study first investigated the image’s self-similarity and constructed high-resolution and low-resolution learning dictionaries; then, based on sparse ...

Deep Laplacian Pyramid Networks for Fast and Accurate Super-Resolution
Convolutional neural networks have recently demonstrated high-quality reconstruction for single-image super-resolution. In this paper, we propose the Laplacian Pyramid Super-Resolution Network (LapSRN) to progressively reconstruct the sub-band residuals ...

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Active-modulated fluorescence fluctuation super-resolution microscopy with multi-resolution analysis
A new scheme of super-resolution optical fluctuation imaging (SOFI) is proposed to broaden its application in the high-order cumulant reconstruction by optimizing blinking characteristics, eliminating noise in raw data and applying multi-resolution ...

Image Super-resolution Reconstruction Based on Sparse Representation and Guided Filtering [PDF]
In view of the fact that the image super-resolution reconstruction method cannot effectively reconstruct more high frequency image information in the process of image processing and storage, this paper proposes an image super-resolution reconstruction ...
