Supercontinuum Spectrum Generation in Tapered Fiber Using Femtosecond Laser Pulses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present an extended nonlinear Schrodinger equation model that involves the dispersion coefficient and effective core area varying along the transition length of tapered fiber.

Frontiers of Bright CEP‐Stable Broadband Infrared Sources

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Bright CEP‐stable broadband infrared sources push the limits of ultrafast science by delivering exceptional brightness alongside few‐cycle durations and multi‐octave spectral coverage. This review highlights emerging architectures and nonlinear conversion strategies that scale power while preserving phase stability.

Multispectral Concentric Grafted Perfect Vector Vortex Beam

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Multispectral structured light offers powerful opportunities for increasing information capacity. A multispectral concentric grafted perfect vector vortex beam is proposed to engineer topological charges and polarization. A metasurface can graft different perfect vector vortex beams across concentric spatial regions and extend this concept to ...

Supercontinuum generation and beatnote detection using ultrafast VECSEL seed oscillators

open access: yes, 2018
We present preliminary results showing the potential of VECSEL technology for the generation of high power coherent supercontinuum. Among these results, we demonstrate a stable output power of 16 W with a pulse duration of 71 fs and a repetition rate of ...

Two-Octave Supercontinuum Generation of High-Order OAM Modes in Air-Core As₂S₃ Ring Fiber

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this work, we design and simulate an air-core As2S3 ring fiber for high-order orbital angular momentum (OAM) supercontinuum generation. We show that the chromatic dispersion of the ring fiber can be substantially tailored by proper optimization of the

Wavelength and Full‐Polarization Encrypted Orbital Angular Momentum Meta‐Holography

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
By multiplexing three independent degrees of freedom of light, a single‐layer geometric‐phase metasurface encrypts 24 distinct holographic images across 3 wavelengths, 12 pairs of orthogonal polarizations, and 4 OAM channels, taking advantage of axial chromatic dispersion to reconstruct the color images at the same plane. ABSTRACT Multiplexing multiple

Liquid jet capabilities for ultrafast chemistry at the SwissFEL Alvra instrument

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
The technical aspects of the Alvra endstation are outlined and its scientific capabilities are demonstrated with commissioning results obtained during the early years of SwissFEL's operation. The Alvra experimental station at the Swiss X‐ray free‐electron laser, SwissFEL, investigates ultrafast dynamics in chemical and biological systems using X‐ray ...

In vivo differentiation of scarring alopecia using line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography: a pilot study

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and Objectives: Diagnosing cicatricial alopecia is challenging. Even with histology, a definitive diagnosis cannot always be made. Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC‐OCT), a non‐invasive imaging method with high resolution used in vivo, has proven helpful in diagnosing scarring alopecia.

Hyperspectral tomographic diffractive microscopy: Development and applications

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Tomographic Diffractive Microscopy (TDM) provides label‐free three‐dimensional imaging of transparent samples with resolution surpassing confocal limits. At IRIMAS, successive instrumental developments since 2009 have enhanced TDM capabilities through transmission, reflection, isotropic, polarisation‐sensitive, and dual‐view configurations ...

Stimulated Supercontinuum Generation

open access: yesOptical Fiber Communication Conference and National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, 2009
We demonstrate active control over optical rogue waves with a weak optical seed. With this effect, we stimulate supercontinuum generation, resulting in greatly enhanced stability and coherence. The phenomenon also facilitates all-optical three-terminal devices.
