Supercontinuum generation in the ultraviolet (UV) spectral region is challenging in solid-core optical fibres due to solarisation and photodarkening. Antiresonant hollow-core fibres have overcome this limitation and have been shown to guide UV light at ...

Temperature‐Dependent Conduction and Gate‐Tunable Photoresponse in Graphene Photodetectors
CMOS‐compatible, Si3N4‐passivated graphene photodetectors on Si/SiO2 substrates demonstrate reversible, gate‐tunable switching between positive and negative photoconductance without heterojunctions. Under broadband illumination, the devices show a sublinear photocurrent response consistent with photogating.

Efficient Polarization‐Entangled Photon‐Pair Generation by a Fiber‐In‐Line van der Waals Material
Telecom‐wavelength polarization‐entangled photon pairs are generated in a van der Waals‐material‐integrated all‐fiber device via spontaneous parametric down‐conversion. The demonstrated fiberized quantum light source bridges emerging 2D nonlinear materials and practical quantum photonic systems, opening new opportunities for scalable fiber‐based ...

Carbonization degree is established as a unified structural parameter that synergistically governs the photoluminescence and SOD‐like activity of CDs. Progressive carbonization generates sp2‐conjugated domains where edge‐site carbonyl groups act as catalytic sites for SOD‐like activity.

Polarization‐Dependence of Nonlinear Optical Effects in Silicon: The Case of Ultrafast Processing
The dependence of the input polarization for the nonlinear optical propagation in silicon is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The perturbative regime is examined using pump‐probe shadowgraphy and nonlinear transmission, whereas the case of permanent laser‐induced modifications is addressed using a combination of Raman micro‐spectroscopy ...

Shot-Noise Limited, 10 MHz Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography for Retinal Imaging
Akinetic swept-sources are essential for high-speed optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. Time-stretched supercontinuum (TSSC) lasers have proven to be efficient for multi-MHz swept-sources.

AI‐Assisted Basal Cell Carcinoma Analysis in Line‐Field Confocal OCT: Exploring Diagnostic Metrics
Two scan‐level metrics derived from device‐embedded AI risk scores, the composite and stability scores, consistently separated basal cell carcinoma from non‐BCC lesions in line‐field confocal OCT. These exploratory metrics reduce the impact of isolated false‐positive frames and may support AI‐assisted diagnosis, pending external validation.

Disentangling Molecular and Intrinsic Emission in Citric Acid–Urea Carbon Dots
Citric acid–urea thermal reactions under equimolar and urea‐rich conditions generate distinct fluorophore populations alongside carbon dots. Size‐exclusion chromatography reveals precursor‐dependent molecular species, whereas extended dialysis separates low‐molecular‐weight fluorophores from retained carbon dots. Despite the different synthetic regimes,
