Single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are versatile optical nanosensors that can be imaged at the single‐sensor level to map biological processes. To translate such imaging into calibrated measurements, sensor recovery under repeated analyte exposures must be analyzed.

Significance Statement Euglena gracilis is an early diverging photosynthetic organism with a unique mosaic photosynthetic apparatus. Biochemical and spectroscopic analysis reveals a kinetically slower photosystem I sharing excitation energy with photosystem II in the absence of strict photosystem segregation.

Directional supercontinuum generation
Directional supercontinuum is generated in a silicon-rich nitride waveguide with two zero dispersion wavelengths. The supercontinuum is caused by interaction between a soliton and a pulse in the normal dispersion regime leading to dispersive ...

Supercontinuum generation in the ultraviolet (UV) spectral region is challenging in solid-core optical fibres due to solarisation and photodarkening. Antiresonant hollow-core fibres have overcome this limitation and have been shown to guide UV light at ...

This work successfully achieves the in situ nanocrystallization of lead‐free Cs2AgInCl6 double perovskite within a chalcogenide glass host. The novel composite demonstrates a remarkable synergy, leading to a strong enhancement in third‐order nonlinear optical properties and a substantially improved optical limiting response, thereby offering a stable ...

Mid-IR coherent supercontinuum generation in all-solid step-index soft glass fibers
We numerically demonstrate that normal dispersion femtosecond pumping of tailored soft glass step-index fibers can generate highly coherent mid-IR supercontinuum light with two octaves bandwidth, suitable for recompression to few-cycle pulse ...

Shot-Noise Limited, 10 MHz Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography for Retinal Imaging
Akinetic swept-sources are essential for high-speed optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. Time-stretched supercontinuum (TSSC) lasers have proven to be efficient for multi-MHz swept-sources.
