Supercooling water in cylindrical capsules
An experimental apparatus was developed to investigate the supercooling phenomenon of water inside cylindrical capsules used for a cold storage process. The coolant is a water-alcohol mixture controlled by a constant temperature bath (CTB).

Characteristics of Immersion Freezing Ice Nucleating Particles During Dust Season in Beijing
Abstract Atmospheric dust is a primary source of ice nucleating particles (INPs), yet their concentrations at temperatures warmer than −20°C are not fully characterized during Asian dust events. This study uses a membrane filtering method to collect aerosol samples and a droplet freezing method to measure daily immersion‐mode INP concentrations in ...

Structural and Spectroscopic Evidence of Hydrogen Bonded Anionic Wires in Protic Ionic Liquids
Anionic wires of deprotonated carboxylic acids challenge the general wisdom that like charges repel. The hydrogen bond motif observed in the X‐ray structure is even preserved in the liquid state of the material as shown by δ1H NMR spectroscopy. The experimental and theoretical findings provide deep insight into the nature of hydrogen bonding.

Enhanced Roofs for Passive Building Design: A Systematic Review of Thermal and Energy Performance
This systematic review evaluates PCM‐ and NePCM‐integrated roofing systems for passive cooling. PCM roofs reduce heat flux and indoor temperature fluctuations, while NePCMs improve thermal conductivity with latent heat trade‐offs. Hybrid cooling strategies enhance performance, and future challenges in scalability, durability, and practical ...
