Shaping Carbon Nitrides for Advanced Macrostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review examines how carbon nitride can be shaped through a range of printing and interfacial assembly methods. By bringing together additive manufacturing and liquid–liquid structuring concepts, carbon nitride is moving beyond its traditional powder‐based photocatalyst form toward digitally designed robust macroscale architectures with high design

Orientational transition in nematic liquid crystals under oscillatory Poiseuille flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We investigate the orientational behaviour of a homeotropically aligned nematic liquid crystal subjected to an oscillatory plane Poiseuille flow produced by an alternating pressure gradient.

Low‐Temperature Processed Optoelectronic Synapses With Enhanced Responsivity for Edge‐Oriented In‐Sensor Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Image pixels are converted into optical pulse sequences to stimulate the optoelectronic synaptic device, generating dynamic responses that form high‐dimensional features. These features improve classification efficiency and demonstrate strong potential for neuromorphic edge computing systems.

The Influence of Seafloor Gradient on Turbidity Current Flow Dynamics and Depositional Response: A Case Study from the Lower Gas-Bearing Interval of Huangliu Formation II, Yinggehai Basin

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
The Huangliu Formation, Section I, Gas Group II, at the eastern X gas field of the Yinggehai Basin, hosts thick, irregularly deposited sandstone bodies. The genesis of these sedimentary sand bodies has remained unclear.

The Free Overfall in Circular Sections with Different Flat Base in Supercritical and Subcritical Flow Regimes

open access: yesمجله آب و خاک, 2017
Introduction: A free overfall offers a simple device for flow discharge measuring by a single measurement of depth at the end of the channel yb which is known as the end depth or brink depth.

Time dependent hydraulic falls and trapped waves over submerged obstructions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the classical problem of a free surface flowing past one or more disturbances in a channel. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid and incompressible, and the flow, irrotational.

A Soft Matrix Microenvironment Promotes Laterally Spreading Tumors via Oxidative Phosphorylation‐Dependent Cell Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laterally spreading tumors (LSTs) are precancerous colorectal lesions characterized by a flat morphology. This study reveals a mechanochemical pathway through which a soft matrix microenvironment diminishes spatial constraints in intestinal adenomas. This process promotes deficiencies in tight junction proteins, mediated by the mechanoreceptor ADORA2B ...

Enhancement of Permeability Activated by Supercritical Fluid Flow through Granite

open access: yesGeofluids, 2019
This geological study utilized electron probe microanalysis of granitic rocks to evaluate traces of hydrothermal fluid activity. Amphibole-plagioclase thermometry was applied to estimate the temperature of a glassy vein as approximately 700°C.

Instability of supercritical helium flow.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1991
The instability of supercritical helium flow is investigated experimentally, Three types of instabillity are observed and their mechanisms are revealed. A type of instability is considered to be a Helmholtz one, caused by the acoustic resonance in the outlet pipe from the cryostat outlet to the flow control valve.
