Synergistic Effects of Carbon Additives and Supercritical CO2 on Cell Morphology and Thermal Insulation of Extruded Polystyrene Composite Foam

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates how sc‐CO2‐assisted extrusion foaming of PS with GNP and FG additives enhances thermal insulation performance through controlled dispersion and cell morphology. Improved thermal insulation is achieved by controlling the additive loading and pressure conditions to optimize nucleation and CO2 diffusion.

Low Tg PLA‐Based Copolymer Foams for Tissue Engineering Applications: Influence of Supercritical CO2 and N2 Mixtures on Open‐Cell Content, Morphology, and Storage Stability

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Polylactid‐based (PLA) copolymer foams show a high potential for tissue engineering applications. However, tailored foam properties are required for these applications. As medical authorization is challenging for foams containing chemical modifiers or nucleating agents, tailored foam properties must be achieved by varying process parameters ...

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.
