Habemus superstratum! A constructive proof of the existence of superstrata [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We construct the first example of a superstratum: a class of smooth horizonless supergravity solutions that are parameterized by arbitrary continuous functions of (at least) two variables and have the same charges as the supersymmetric D1-D5-P black hole.

Lectures on Supergravity [PDF]

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, 2002
The text is an essentially self-contained introduction to four-dimensional N=1 supergravity, including its couplings to super Yang-Mills and chiral matter multiplets, for readers with basic knowledge of standard gauge theories and general relativity. Emphasis is put on showing how supergravity fits in the general framework of gauge theories and how it ...

Super D-branes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
We present a manifestly Lorentz invariant, space-time supersymmetric, and 'κ-invariant' world-volume action for all type II Dirichlet p-branes, p ≤ 9, in a general type II supergravity background, including massive backgrounds in the IIA case. The p =

Space biomedicine‐oriented bioink and biomimetic blood‒brain barrier

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
Bioinks and bioprinting play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of cell models and the fabrication of tissue models for space biomedicine research. This study investigated the effects of hypergravity and vibration on two‐dimensional adherent cells and three‐dimensional embedded cells and provided methods for storing hybrid bioink and high ...

Supergravity and the Poincaré group [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2002
An action for 3+1-dimensional supergravity genuinely invariant under the Poincare supergroup is proposed. The construction of the action is carried out considering a bosonic lagrangian invariant under both local Lorentz rotations and local Poincare translations as well as under diffeomorphism, and therefore the Poincare algebra closes off-shell.

Properties of enhançons in supergravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A certain class of naked singularities, related to N = 2 pure super Yang-Mills theory, are resolved in string theory with the enhançon mechanism. We study the properties of the enhançon in supergravity.

Status and Prospect of Secondary Battery Technologies in Space Applications: Challenges and the Future

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
Lithium‐ion batteries used in space applications are exposed to extreme conditions, including radiation, vacuum, wide temperature fluctuations, and long storage times, all of which accelerate degradation. This review article summarizes the main degradation mechanisms affecting battery performance in space environments, including capacity fade ...

Geometry of Supergravity and the Batalin–Vilkovisky Formulation of the N=1$\mathcal N=1$ Theory in Ten Dimensions

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT We provide full details of a BV formulation of N=1$\mathcal N=1$ supergravity in 10 dimensions, to all orders in fermions, built from the generalised geometry description of the theory. In contrast to standard treatments, we introduce neither the degrees of freedom corresponding to orthonormal frames for the metric nor the local Lorentz ...

Lorentzian homogeneous structures with indecomposable holonomy

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract For a Lorentzian homogeneous space, we study how algebraic conditions on the isotropy group affect the geometry and curvature of the homogeneous space. More specifically, we prove that a Lorentzian locally homogeneous space is locally isometric to a plane wave if it admits an Ambrose–Singer connection with indecomposable, non‐irreducible ...
