Brane probes and gauge theory/gravity dualities [PDF]
We examine the use of branes as probes of supergravity geometries which arise in the study of gauge theory/gravity dualities. We investigate the moduh spaces of supersymmetric gauge theories through moduh spaces of brane probes in the dual gravity ...

ABSTRACT In this paper, we continue the development of the Cartan neural networks programme, launched with three previous publications, by focusing on some mathematical foundational aspects that we deem necessary for our next steps forward. The mathematical and conceptual results are diverse and span various mathematical fields, but the inspiring ...

Structure of linearized supergravity and conformal supergravity [PDF]
Abstract We give, at the linearized level, the supersymmetric generalization of various tensors of differential geometry, such as the metric tensor and the Riemann, Einstein and Weyl tensors. Using them we write the Lagrangian and the equations of motion of linearized supergravity and conformal supergravity with coupling to sources. Both theories are

Equivariant Localization in Supergravity
We show that supersymmetric supergravity solutions with an R-symmetry Killing vector are equipped with a set of equivariantly closed forms. Various physical observables may be expressed as integrals of these forms, and then evaluated using the Berline-Vergne-Atiyah-Bott fixed point theorem.

On supergravity theories, after ∼ 40 years [PDF]
An introduction to and a partial review of supergravity theories is given, insisting on concepts and on some important technical aspects. Topics covered include elements of global supersymmetry, a derivation of the simplest N = 1 supergravity theory, a ...

The DNA of Calabi–Yau Hypersurfaces
Abstract Genetic Algorithms are implemented for triangulations of four‐dimensional reflexive polytopes, which induce Calabi–Yau threefold hypersurfaces via Batyrev's construction. These algorithms are shown to efficiently optimize physical observables such as axion decay constants or axion–photon couplings in string theory compactifications.

Smooth supergravity solutions and string states [PDF]
In this thesis we study smooth supergravity solutions and their relation to string theory in two different contexts; quotient spaces and asymptotically flat solitonic solutions.

The many vacua of gauged extended supergravities
A novel method is presented which employs advanced numerical techniquesused in the engineering sciences to find and study the properties of nontrivialvacua of gauged extended supergravity models.

Abstract In this article I consider type II superstring in the pure spinor formulation with constant background fields in the context of T‐dualization. First, I prove that bosonic and fermionic T‐dualization commute using already known T‐dual transformation laws for bosonic and fermionic T‐dualization.

On the paper “Bundle gerbes” by Michael Murray
Abstract The article gives a brief survey of Murray's notion of bundle gerbes as introduced in his 1996 paper published in the Journal of the London Mathematical Society, together with some of its applications.
