An Iterative Learning Controller for Superheat Degree of VCC System

2018 IEEE 7th Data Driven Control and Learning Systems Conference (DDCLS), 2018
The air-conditioning system has played an indispensable role in daily life, which can provide a comfortable and healthy residential environment for people. The vapor compressor refrigeration cycle (VCC) system, one of the core cycles of HVAC system, produces a cooling effect.

A superheat degree driven liquid-vapor phase-change lattice Boltzmann model

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2019
Abstract This paper proposes a phase-change pseudo-potential lattice Boltzmann model based on the bubble dynamic theory. To maintain the stability of the liquid during the phase change process, the phase change of the model is driven by the superheat degree in the interface area instead of the thermodynamic temperature in the equation of state (EOS).

Effects of superheat degree and wettability on droplet evaporation time near Leidenfrost point through Lattice Boltzmann simulation

International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2021
Abstract The evaporation of droplet on a superheated surface is a very important and common phenomenon in industrial production, such as spray cooling and metallurgical treatment. In this paper, a two-dimensional numerical simulation based on Lattice Boltzmann Method has been adopted to analyze the evaporation behavior of liquid droplet on an over ...

Spray characterizations from outward-opening DISI engine injector under various fuel superheat degree conditions

Proceedings of the 2013 International Conference on Advanced Mechatronic Systems, 2013
Fuel sprays from outward-opening DISI engine injector were characterized under various fuel superheat degree (SD) conditions using laser sheet Mie-scattering and Phase Doppler Interferometer (PDI). N-hexane was used for a gasoline surrogate as it has a fixed boiling point and saturated vapor pressure.

Effect of electrolysis superheat degree on anticorrosion performance of 5Cu/(10NiO-NiFe2O4) cermet inert anode

Journal of Central South University of Technology, 2007
5Cu/(10NiO-NiFe2O4) cermet inert anodes were prepared by cold-pressing and sintering process, and the effect of superheat degree of melting K3AlF6-Na3AlF6-AlF3 on their anticorrosion performance was studied under electrolysis conditions. The results show that, the fluctuation of cell becomes small with increasing of superheat degree, which is helpful ...

Improving degree of superheat control in a direct expansion (DX) air conditioning (A/C) system

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2010
Abstract In a direct expansion (DX) air conditioning (A/C) system having a variable-speed compressor and supply fan, the degree of refrigerant superheat regulated by a built-in conventional proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller would experience fluctuation, after the speeds of both compressor and supply fan were regulated by a capacity ...

A Machine Learning Method for State Identification of Superheat Degree with Flame Interference

2019
The superheat degree in the process of aluminium electrolysis is an important indicator for judging the condition of the electrolysis cell. In the actual production process, the artificial observation of the fire hole is usually used for judgment and decision of cell condition. However, the decreasing number and frequent flow of experienced technicians

A novel defrosting control method based on the degree of refrigerant superheat for air source heat pumps

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2013
Abstract When an air source heat pump (ASHP) unit operates for space heating at a frosting environment, periodic defrosting is necessary to maintain a high system performance. To defrost efficiently, it is necessary to find an effective defrosting control method.
