Dynamics of bubbles in supernovae and turbulent vortices

Astronomy Reports, 2006
We consider the motion of a bubble in a central acceleration field created by gravity or a centrifugal force. In the former case, the bubble moves outwards from and, in the latter, towards the center. We have calculated the characteristic time needed for a bubble to leave or reach the center. The solution obtained provides insight into the processes of

The dynamical effects of supernovae on the interstellar medium

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1975
An interstellar cloud suddenly overrun by a supernova blast wave experiences a very rapid increase in boundary pressure. A shock wave propagates into the cloud. As a preliminary investigation, the propagation of spherical shock waves in an adiabatic medium is studied numerically.

Signals of the QCD phase transition in core collapse supernovae—microphysical input and implications on the supernova dynamics

Classical and Quantum Gravity, 2010
Summary: In contrast to heavy ion collisions, matter in astrophysical systems such as neutron stars, compact star mergers and supernova environments can be highly isospin asymmetric. We focus on core collapse supernova matter where temperatures reach tens of MeV.

The dynamic evolution of the Kepler supernova remnant

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1986
Two supernovae exploding events were observed visually from the same position, the north of Tian-Jiang in Wei-Suei (the north of 42 θ Ophiuchi), in 1604 and 1664, respectively, and were recorded in the ancient astronomical literatures of China and Korea.
