The effects of general relativity on core collapse supernovae [PDF]
The effects of general relativity (GR) on the hydrodynamics and neutrino transport are examined during the critical shock reheating phase of core collapse supernovae.

Observational constraints on general relativistic energy conditions, cosmic matter density and dark energy from X-ray clusters of galaxies and type-Ia supernovae [PDF]
New observational constraints on the cosmic matter density Ωm and an effectively redshift-independent equation of state parameter wx of the dark energy are obtained while simultaneously testing the strong and null energy conditions of general relativity ...

A bis formamide molecule was found to feature afterglow properties, in both crystalline powder state and in polyvinyl alcohol films. This was attributed to the intermolecular packing that allows H‐trapped emitting state and/or clustering‐triggered emission, which was intensified upon insertion of tetramethylbenzidine as a doping agent.

Deprotonotion of a β‐diketiminate ligand with a tethered secondary amine resulted in highly stable heteroleptic complexes, but the formation of the dianionic ligand could not be achieved. The alkaline‐earth (Ae) metal chemistry of a β‐diketiminate (BDI) ligand with a bulky Ar‐substituent and a pendant amine arm was investigated. The ligand precursor HC[

INCORPORATING ASTROPHYSICAL SYSTEMATICS INTO A GENERALIZED LIKELIHOOD FOR COSMOLOGY WITH TYPE Ia SUPERNOVAE [PDF]
ABSTRACT Traditional cosmological inference using Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) have used stretch- and color-corrected fits of SN Ia light curves and assumed a resulting fiducial mean and symmetric intrinsic dispersion for the resulting relative luminosity.

ABSTRACT This paper examines Israel's destruction and ‘humanitarianisation’ of Palestinian health systems, arguing that this should be understood as an instance of ‘necropolitics,’ as conceived by Achille Mbembe. We review the extensive, long‐term destruction of health systems in Palestine before 7 October 2023 and the catastrophic acceleration of that

A MORE GENERAL MODEL FOR THE INTRINSIC SCATTER IN TYPE Ia SUPERNOVA DISTANCE MODULI [PDF]
We describe a new formalism to fit the parameters $α$ and $β$ that are used in the SALT2 model to determine the standard magnitudes of Type Ia supernovae. The new formalism describes the intrinsic scatter in Type Ia supernovae by a covariance matrix in place of the single parameter normally used.

Whole Genome Assembly and Annotation of Two Invasive Sitona Species
ABSTRACT Weevils are a highly diversified taxon, comprising about 70,000 described species, including many of high economic importance. Here, we present whole genome assemblies and annotations of two Sitona species (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae).
