Co‐Doped (Na+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Fe3+)‐Carbonated Hydroxyapatites and Composites with MIIFe2O4: Synthesis, Mechanic, Magnetic, and Antibacterial Properties for Medical Application

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Multi‐doped (Na+, Mg2+, Zn2+, CO32‐) hydroxyapatite/ferrite composites were synthesized via a one‐stage method. These “smart” materials exhibit high microhardness (3.28 GPa), potent antimicrobial activity, and membrane‐stabilizing effects, reducing erythrocyte hemolysis by up to 25%.

Computational Exploration of Nickel Nanoclusters as Nano Sensors for Toxic Gas Detection

open access: yesSurface and Interface Analysis, Volume 58, Issue 6, Page 410-427, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In this study, the structural, electronic, and adsorption properties of Ni2–5 nanoclusters and their Fe‐ and Zn‐doped counterparts were systematically investigated using density functional theory (DFT) to evaluate their suitability for toxic gas sensing applications.

MagNanoTrap Enrichment Empowers Ultra‐Sensitive Quantification of Mixed Nanoplastic Particles From Environmental Water Samples

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 20, 11 May 2026.
Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with the bifunctional peptide LCI‐DZ‐MBP1, where LCI binds the iron oxide surface and MBP1 acts as a universal plastic‐binding peptide, combined with pyrolysis‐gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py‐GC/MS), enable efficient enrichment, precise detection, and quantification of mixed plastics (PS, PE, PP, PET, PMMA, PC, Nylon

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy at a Crossroads: Translational Gap and Emerging Delivery Agents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 17, 5 May 2026.
This review surveys recent advances in boron delivery agents for BNCT, emphasizing the shift from classical small molecules to multifunctional nanocarriers and theranostic systems. By integrating targeting, imaging, and therapy, next‐generation boron compounds aim to bridge the gap between (bio)chemical innovation and clinical translation.
