Further, the possible research gaps in the field of biofuel and value‐added compound production and a possible way to enhance the application of nanobiocatalyst in future development are highlighted.

A magnetic Fe3O4@mSiO2@chitosan nanoadsorbent was synthesized for the removal of Pb(II) and Cd(II) from wastewater. Box–Behnken statistical optimization achieved >95% removal. The adsorbent followed pseudo‐second‐order kinetics and Langmuir/Freundlich isotherms, with capacities of 287 mg/g (Pb2+) and 279 mg/g (Cd2+).
