Supermasks in Superposition

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
We present the Supermasks in Superposition (SupSup) model, capable of sequentially learning thousands of tasks without catastrophic forgetting. Our approach uses a randomly initialized, fixed base network and for each task finds a subnetwork (supermask) that achieves good performance.

Resource Theory of Superposition [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
The superposition principle lies at the heart of many non-classical properties of quantum mechanics. Motivated by this, we introduce a rigorous resource theory framework for the quantification of superposition of a finite number of linear independent states. This theory is a generalization of resource theories of coherence.

Complete and Efficient Higher-Order Reasoning via Lambda-Superposition

open access: yes, 2023
International audienceSuperposition is a highly successful proof calculus for reasoning about first-order logic with equality. We present λ-superposition, which extends superposition to higher-order logic. Its design goals include soundness, completeness,

Prediction and effect analysis of surface vibration waveform for group hole delay blasting

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
In order to solve the shortcomings of the existing surface vibration waveform prediction method for group-hole delay blasting, a new method is proposed, and the surface vibration effects of group-hole delay blasting are analyzed.

Superpositions of probability distributions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2008
Probability distributions which can be obtained from superpositions of Gaussian distributions of different variances v = σ^2 play a favored role in quantum theory and financial markets. Such superpositions need not necessarily obey the Chapman-Kolmogorov semigroup relation for Markovian processes because they may introduce memory effects. We derive the

Outage analysis of superposition modulation aided network coded cooperation in the presence of network coding noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider a network, where multiple sourcedestination pairs communicate with the aid of a half-duplex relay node (RN), which adopts decode-forward (DF) relaying and superposition-modulation (SPM) for combining the signals transmitted by the source ...

Iterative algorithm for offsets, scale and rotate estimation for television image superposition with additive and multiplicative noise

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2022
We describe the iterative algorithm for television image superposition. The superposition is defined by offsets, scale, and rotates. Also additive and multiplicative noise influences the image.

A Cooperative Network Coding Strategy for the Interference Relay Channel. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we study an interference relay network with a satellite as relay. We propose a cooperative strategy based on physical layer network coding and superposition modulation decoding for uni-directional communications among users.
