Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

A linear test for global nonlinear controllability
It is known that if a nonlinear control affine system without drift is bracket generating, then its associated sub-Laplacian is invertible under some conditions on the domain. In this note, we investigate the converse.

ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

Every superposition operator mapping one Sobolev space into another is continuous
Every Borel function f : R → R defines a self-map of the space of measurable functions on a domain Ω in RN via Tu = f ∘ u. However, (local) Lipschitz continuity of f is required if, in addition, the “superposition operator” T is to leave invariant the ...

Thickness‐Dependent Infrared Emissivity of Ultrathin Freestanding MoSiN Nanocomposite Membranes
ABSTRACT Metals and dielectrics show opposite trends in thickness‐dependent infrared emissivity: metallic films exhibit a rise in emissivity below a critical thickness, while dielectric films show a corresponding decline. For applications demanding both high emissivity and mechanical strength in membranes with nanoscale thickness, combining these ...

Superposition operators and functions of bounded p-variation
We characterize the set of all functions f of R to itself such that the associated superposition operator Tf: g ? f º g maps the class BVp1(R) into itself.

Probing Near‐Field EM Fluctuations in Superparamagnetic CoFeB With NV Quantum Dephasometry
We non‐invasively investigate the superparamagnetic spin dynamics of a 1.1 nm CoFeB layer by probing its near‐field EM fluctuations using NV centers‐based quantum dephasometry. Our findings are further supported by theoretical modeling and SQUID‐based magnetization characterization. These results provide critical insight into the magnetization dynamics

On superposition operators in spaces BV(0,1)
Abstract For a function f : [ 0 , 1 ] × R → R the superposition operator S f : R [ 0 , 1 ] → R [ 0 , 1 ] is defined by the formula S f ( φ ) ( t ) = f ( t , φ ( t ) ) . We study properties of operators S f in Banach spaces B V φ ( 0 , 1 )
