Superradiance

Superradiance, 2015
Superradiance is a radiation enhancement process that involves dissipative systems. With a 60 year-old history, superradiance has played a prominent role in optics, quantum mechanics and especially in relativity and astrophysics. In General Relativity, black-hole superradiance is permitted by dissipation at the event horizon, that allows for energy ...

Entanglement from superradiance and rotating quantum fluids of light

Physical Review D, 2023
The amplification of radiation by superradiance is a universal phenomenon observed in numerous physical systems. We demonstrate that superradiant scattering generates entanglement for different input states, including coherent states, thereby ...

Superradiant Cathodoluminescence

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2021
We find that laser-driven free-electrons can be coherently-shaped to induce superradiance from many-body quantum emitters. This effect provides new capabilities in electron microscopy&spectroscopy, using high spatio-temporal resolution for coherent control and enhancement of cathodoluminescence.

Acoustic superradiance

Advances in Molecular Relaxation Processes, 1976
This review deals with experimental and theoretical aspects of acoustic superradiance, and also spontaneous coherent radiation of elastic multipoles. B. Peculiarities of sound superradiation excited by pulsed and stationary coherent external fields are considered. The creation of phonon avalanches as ac.

Microcavity quantum superradiance

Journal of Optics B: Quantum and Semiclassical Optics, 2000
Two-dipole superradiance in a planar symmetrical microcavity has been investigated for the first time in the space-time domain by a controlled femtosecond excitation of two ensembles of molecules located at a mutual distance R on the plane parallel to the cavity mirrors.

Absence of entanglement growth in Dicke superradiance

Physical Review A
Dicke superradiance describes an ensemble of N permutationally invariant two-level systems collectively emitting radiation with a peak radiated intensity scaling as N 2 . Individual Dicke states are typically entangled.
