Magnetic lipase B from Candida antarctica (CALB) biocatalyst for integrated valorization of tilapia by‐products and biodiesel biorefining

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, Volume 20, Issue 4, Page 1835-1860, July/August 2026.
Abstract The immobilization of lipase B from Candida antarctica (CALB) on an amino‐epoxy functionalized magnetic support (Fe3O4‐PEI‐DGEBA) resulted in a highly stable and efficient biocatalyst for biofuel production from tilapia oil. The synthesized support was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray ...

Some results in supersonic combustion

open access: yes, 1965
Some basic aspects of supersonic combustión are discussed, concerning the use of air-breathing engines for the propulsión of space vehicles within the atmosphere. The advantages and drawbacks of using diffusion flames for supersonic combustión are discussed. An analysis of the supersonic turbulent mixing process is included.

Comparative Physicochemical Characterization of Two Commercial Hydroxyapatite‐Based Collagen Biostimulators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 8, Issue 4, July 2026.
Direct, multimodal characterization reveals that two commercial HA–collagen biostimulators share a hydroxyapatite–dominant composition and similar crystalline structure, with ≈$ \approx $30 µm HA spheres and near‐physiological pH. Differences arise mainly from the gel matrix—Na‐CMC and glycerol—driving subtle rheology and tonicity variations.
