Foundations of Ghost Stability

Abstract The authors present a new method to analytically prove global stability in ghost‐ridden dynamical systems. The proposal encompasses all prior results and consequentially extends them. In particular, it is shown that stability can follow from a conserved quantity that is unbounded from below, contrary to expectation.

Geometric Relational Framework for General‐Relativistic Gauge Field Theories

Abstract It is recalled how relationality arises as the core insight of general‐relativistic gauge field theories from the articulation of the generalized hole and point‐coincidence arguments. Hence, a compelling case for a manifestly relational framework ensues naturally.

Numerical analyses of supersymmetric quantum mechanics with a cyclic Leibniz rule on a lattice 36th Int. Symp. Lattice Field Theory (Lattice 2018)

Abstract We study a cyclic Leibniz rule, which provides a systematic approach to lattice supersymmetry, using a numerical method with a transfer matrix. The computation is carried out in supersymmetric quantum mechanics with the interaction for weak and strong couplings.

de Sitter State in Heterotic String Theory

Abstract Recent no‐go theorems have ruled out four‐dimensional classical de Sitter vacua in heterotic string theory. On the other hand, the absence of a well‐defined Wilsonian effective action and other related phenomena also appear to rule out such time‐dependent vacua with de Sitter isometries, even in the presence of quantum corrections.
