S-duality and supersymmetry on curved manifolds [PDF]
We perform a systematic study of S-duality for N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetric non-linear abelian theories on a curved manifold. Localization can be used to compute certain supersymmetric observables in these theories.

Supersymmetry, Duality and Bound States [PDF]
$P$-brane solutions of low-energy string actions have traditionally provided the first evidence for the existence of string dualities, in which fundamental and solitonic $p$-branes are identified with perturbative and non-perturbative BPS states. In this

Twisted orientifold planes and S-duality without supersymmetry [PDF]
We construct a novel orientifold of type IIB string theory that breaks all supersymmetries. It is a closed string theory without open sector and it can be understood as a Scherk-Schwarz deformation in which supersymmetry is restored at infinite radius ...

Supersymmetry and non-Abelian T-duality in type II supergravity [PDF]
We study the effect of T-duality on supersymmetry in the context of type II supergravity. For both U(1) Abelian and SU(2) non-Abelian T-duality, we demonstrate that the supersymmetry variations after T-duality are related to the variations before T ...

Duality in the Presence of Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]
We study Seiberg duality for N=1 supersymmetric QCD with soft supersymmetry-breaking terms. We generate the soft terms through gauge mediation by coupling two theories related by Seiberg duality to the same supersymmetry-breaking sector.

Supersymmetry constraints on U-duality invariant deformations of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ ≥ 5 supergravity [PDF]
Candidate counterterms break E7 type U-duality symmetry of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ ≥ 5 supergravity theories in four dimensions [1, 2]. A proposal was made in [3] to restore it, starting with a double set of vector fields and argued that a supersymmetric ...

Renormalization Flow, Duality, and Supersymmetry Breaking in Some N=1 Product-Group Theories [PDF]
We discuss the renormalization group flow, duality, and supersymmetry breaking in N = 1 supersymmetric SU(N)xSU(M) gauge theories.Comment: Talk given at SUSY'96; 3 pages, LateX, style-, ps-files ...

Duality after Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]
Starting with two supersymmetric dual theories, we imagine adding a chiral perturbation that breaks supersymmetry dynamically. At low energy we then get two theories with soft supersymmetry-breaking terms that are generated dynamically.

Perturbative higher-derivative terms in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 6 asymmetric orbifolds
We analyse the perturbative four-point amplitudes in the simplest string theory examples of T-fold backgrounds, which enjoy N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 6 supersymmetries in four dimensions.

Deformation of d = 4, N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ ≥ 5 supergravities breaks nonlinear local supersymmetry
We study d = 4, N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ ≥ 5 supergravities and their deformation via candidate counterterms, with the purpose to absorb UV divergences. We generalize the earlier studies of deformation and twisted self-duality constraint to the case with ...
