Probes in fluxbranes and supersymmetry breaking through Hodge-duality [PDF]

open access: hybridPhysics Letters B, 2003
In this letter we consider what happens to an M2-brane probe when Minkowski space is dimensionally reduced to a fluxbrane solution of IIA supergravity. Given that fluxbrane reductions generally break supersymmetry, we look at how supersymmetry is realised on the D2-brane probe after dualisation.

Entanglement dualities in supersymmetry [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We derive a general relation between the bosonic and fermionic entanglement in the ground states of supersymmetric quadratic Hamiltonians. For this, we construct canonical identifications between bosonic and fermionic subsystems. Our derivation relies on a unified framework to describe both, bosonic and fermionic Gaussian states in terms of so-called ...

Spacetime Supersymmetry and Duality in String Theory

open access: green, 1995
I discuss the role of spacetime supersymmetry in the interplay between strong/weak coupling duality and target space duality in string theory which arises in string/string duality. This can be seen via the construction of string soliton solutions which in $N=4$ compactifications of heterotic string theory break more than $1/2$ of the spacetime ...

Supersymmetry and dualities [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1996
Duality transformations with respect to rotational isometries relate supersymmetric with non-supersymmetric backgrounds in string theory. We find that non-local world-sheet effects have to be taken into account in order to restore supersymmetry at the string level.

Perturbative higher-derivative terms in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 6 asymmetric orbifolds

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We analyse the perturbative four-point amplitudes in the simplest string theory examples of T-fold backgrounds, which enjoy N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 6 supersymmetries in four dimensions.
