Three-form multiplet and supersymmetry breaking [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
Recently, a nilpotent real scalar superfield V was introduced in [1] as a model for the Goldstino. It contains only two independent component fields, the Goldstino and the auxiliary D-field.

Dilaton supersymmetry breaking [PDF]

open access: greenPhysics Letters B, 1996
We argue that dilaton supersymmetry breaking in string derived supergravity requires an effective superpotential which is not separable as a function of the dilaton times a function of the moduli. We show that in a simple model with hidden sector matter condensation and a dilaton independent term one can easily obtain $|F_S| \not=0$.

Supersymmetry and electroweak breaking in the interval [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2005
Hypermultiplets are considered in the five-dimensional interval where all fields are continuous and the boundary conditions are dynamically obtained from the action principle. The orbifold boundary conditions are obtained as particular cases. We can interpret the Scherk-Schwarz supersymmetry breaking as a misalignment of boundary conditions while a new

Dynamical Supersymmetry Breaking in Intersecting Brane Models [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1011:024,2010, 2010
In this paper we study dynamical supersymmetry breaking in absence of gravity with the matter content of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. The hidden sector of the theory is a strongly coupled gauge theory, realized in terms of microscopic ...

Goldstino superfields in AdS_4 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Spontaneous breaking of global supersymmetries results in Goldstino fields which provide a nonlinear realisation of the supersymmetry algebra. A finite supersymmetry transformation of a Goldstino field can be used to generate a superfield whose ...

Advantages and disadvantages of supersymmetry breaking at low energies [PDF]

open access: greenNucl.Phys.Proc.Suppl. 52A (1997) 210-214, 1997
The breaking of supersymmetry is usually assumed to occur in a hidden sector. Two natural candidates for the supersymmetry breaking transmission from the hidden to the observable sector are gravity and the gauge interactions. Only the second one allows for supersymmetry breaking at low energies.

Warped supersymmetry breaking

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2008
We address the size of supersymmetry-breaking effects within higher-dimensional settings where the observable sector resides deep within a strongly warped region, with supersymmetry breaking not necessarily localized in that region. Our particular interest is in how the supersymmetry-breaking scale seen by the observable sector depends on this warping.

Supersymmetry Breaking by Higher Dimension Operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We discuss a supersymmetry breaking mechanism for N = 1 theories triggered by higher dimensional op- erators. We consider such operators for real linear and chiral spinor superfields that break superymmetry and reduce to the Volkov-Akulov action. We also

Supersymmetry breaking and stability in string vacua [PDF]

open access: yesLa Rivista del Nuovo Cimento, 2021
We review some aspects of the dramatic consequences of supersymmetry breaking on string vacua. In particular, we focus on the issue of vacuum stability in ten-dimensional string models with broken, or without, supersymmetry, whose perturbative spectra ...
