An update on moduli stabilization with antibrane uplift
It was recently shown that in warped compactifications based on a Klebanov-Strassler throat there is a light complex structure field, governing the size of the throat and the redshift at its tip.

Nilpotent chiral superfield in N=2$$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ supergravity and partial rigid supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
A bstractIn the framework of N=2$$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ conformal supergravity in four dimensions, we introduce a nilpotent chiral superfield suitable for the description of partial supersymmetry breaking in maximally supersymmetric spacetimes.

COSMOLOGICAL BREAKING OF SUPERSYMMETRY? [PDF]
This is the text of my talk at the Strings 2000 Conference at the University of Michigan. It consists of three interlocking conjectures about the nature of SUSY breaking and the Cosmological Constant, as well as evidence from a toy model that demonstrates the validity of the claim that systems with a UV/IR connection can exhibit much larger SUSY ...

Singlet-assisted supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
We describe a simple recipe for obtaining local supersymmetry-breaking vacua in s-confining theories coupled to gauge singlets. This recipe gives rise to effective O'Raifeartaigh models in the IR, with calculable supersymmetry-breaking minima near the origin, and can be applied to both vector-like and chiral theories. Since the properties of the vacuum

Heavy Thresholds, Slepton Masses and the $\mu$ Term in Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]
The effects of heavy mass thresholds on anomaly-mediated soft supersymmetry breaking terms are discussed. While heavy thresholds completely decouple to lowest order in the supersymmetry breaking, it is argued that they do affect the breaking terms at ...

Interpolation of partial and full supersymmetry breakings in N=2 supergravity
We discuss an N=2 supergravity model that interpolates the full and the partial supersymmetry breakings. In particular, we find the conditions for an N=0 Minkowski vacuum, which is continuously connected to the partial-breaking (N=1 preserving) one.

Dimers, orientifolds and stability of supersymmetry breaking vacua
We study (orientifolded) toric Calabi-Yau singularities in search for D-brane configurations which lead to dynamical supersymmetry breaking at low energy.

Integrable models and supersymmetry breaking
We elaborate on integrable dynamical systems from scalar–gravity Lagrangians that include the leading dilaton tadpole potentials of broken supersymmetry.

Supersymmetry and String Theory
This text is an introduction to the fields of experimental and theoretical particle physics and cosmology. The book focuses on three principal areas: supersymmetry, string theory, and astrophysics and cosmology.
