Acetabular Orientation: Anterolateral Approach in the Supine Position [PDF]
The anterolateral approach in the supine position provides excellent visualization of the acetabulum. The main advantage of the approach, a low dislocation rate, has been demonstrated in the literature, while the purported disadvantage of abductor dysfunction has not been clearly delineated in the literature. The technique requires meticulous attention

KLK1 downregulation disrupts the intestinal mucosal barrier and impairs kallikrein‐kinin signaling, thereby reducing Lys‐des‐Arg9‐BK production. This enhances B1R activation on ADAMDEC1⁺ fibroblasts, promoting inflammation and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. The resulting iCAFs promote colorectal cancer progression, highlighting a novel KLK1‐B1R

A new mini-navigation tool allows accurate component placement during anterior total hip arthroplasty. [PDF]
Introduction: Computer-assisted navigation systems have been explored in total hip arthroplasty (THA) to improve component positioning. While these systems traditionally rely on anterior pelvic plane registration, variances in soft tissue thickness ...

Exploratory study into the effect of abdominal mass loading on airways resistance and ventilatory failure [PDF]
Objective We hypothesised that the airway resistance during tidal breathing would correlate with a particular pattern of increasing obesity, particularly when supine, and would differ between participants with and without ventilatory failure.

Purpose Hypoxemia during one-lung ventilation (OLV) remains a serious problem, particularly in the supine position. We investigated the effects of alveolar recruitment (AR) and positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) on oxygenation during OLV in the ...

This article examines the central role of RIPK1 in the pathogenesis of sepsis‐induced lung injury. It elucidates how RIPK1 initiates an inflammatory cascade by activating JAK1‐STAT3 signaling, leading to CXCL1‐mediated neutrophil infiltration. Importantly, it demonstrates that pharmacological inhibition of RIPK1 effectively attenuates inflammation and ...

Increased hepatic angiotensinogen (AGT) abundance leads to cardiac diastolic dysfunction via the AngII‐independent pathway. Liver‐derived AGT is internalized by LRP2 in cardiac endothelial cells, subsequently contributing to myocardial diastolic dysfunction by suppressing microvascular angiogenesis via inhibiting the GATA2/Pim3 pathway.

A systematic review of methods to immobilise breast tissue during adjuvant breast irradiation [PDF]
Greater use of 3D conformal, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and external beam partial breast irradiation following local excision (LE) for breast cancer has necessitated a review of the effectiveness of immobilisation methods to stabilise breast
