Reflecting on theory development in sustainable supply chain management

open access: yesCleaner Logistics and Supply Chain, 2022
Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) emerged as a niche topic around 20 years ago but moved into the mainstream. This paper revisits some of the conceptual developments of the field-building on Seuring and Müller (2008). We draw upon this framework

Supply Chain Network Extraction and Entity Classification Leveraging Large Language Models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Supply chain networks are critical to the operational efficiency of industries, yet their increasing complexity presents significant challenges in mapping relationships and identifying the roles of various entities. Traditional methods for constructing supply chain networks rely heavily on structured datasets and manual data collection, limiting their ...

Supply chains

open access: yes, 2013
Transport activities are usually divided into passenger and freight transport. Freight transport and associated logistics and supply chains constitute an important component of the modern transport system and have been regarded as fundamental elements for global economic growth.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Evaluating Supply Chain Resilience During Pandemic Using Agent-based Simulation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Recent pandemics have highlighted vulnerabilities in our global economic systems, especially supply chains. Possible future pandemic raises a dilemma for businesses owners between short-term profitability and long-term supply chain resilience planning.

A large‐scale retrospective study in metastatic breast cancer patients using circulating tumour DNA and machine learning to predict treatment outcome and progression‐free survival

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Colored Petri Nets for Modeling and Simulation of a Green Supply Chain System [PDF]

open access: yesIFAC WODES 2024, IFAC, Apr 2024, Rio de Janeiro (BR), Brazil
Green supply chain is an emerging approach in supply chain management to reduce environmental impact of the process concerning the flow of goods and materials. As a discrete-event system, supply chain can be modeled using Petri Nets. Colored Petri Nets (CPNs) extend the classical Petri net formalism with data, time and hierarchy. These extensions makes
