Phototriggered Supramolecular Assembly. [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Most of the supramolecular structures lack accuracy at the macroscopic scale because of their spontaneous uncontrolled self-assembly. Although significant progress has been made in understanding the pros and cons of various directional noncovalent ...

Visualization of supramolecular assembly by aggregation‐induced emission

open access: yesAggregate, 2023
Supramolecular architectures are constructed by the self‐assembly of small building blocks via the use of metal‐ligand coordination, π–π stacking interactions, hydrogen bonding, host‐guest interactions, and other noncovalent driving forces, which confer ...

Supramolecular assembly dynamics [PDF]

open access: greenProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2002
Remarkable progress in the synthetic chemistry of supramolecular assemblies has created many new structural types. With the proliferation of new structures has come increasing interest in the properties and behavior of these assemblies. Does the cooperativity of constituent components lend an assembly new properties distinct from the components ...

Mesoscopic order and the dimentionality of long-range resonance energy transfer in supramolecular semiconductors [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Chem. Phys. 129, 104701 (2008), 2007
We present time-resolved photoluminescence measurements on two series of oligo-p-phenylenevinylene materials that self-assemble into supramolecular nanostructures with thermotropic reversibility in dodecane. One set of derivatives form chiral, helical stacks while the second set form less organised, frustrated stacks.

Molecular engineering of chiral colloidal liquid crystals using DNA origami [PDF]

open access: yesNature Materials (2017), 2017
Establishing precise control over the shape and the interactions of the microscopic building blocks is essential for design of macroscopic soft materials with novel structural, optical and mechanical properties. Here, we demonstrate robust assembly of DNA origami filaments into cholesteric liquid crystals, 1D supramolecular twisted ribbons and 2D ...

Supramolecular Chirality Transfer toward Chiral Aggregation: Asymmetric Hierarchical Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2021
Self‐assembly, as a typical bottom‐up strategy for the fabrication of functional materials, has been applied to fabricate chiral materials with subtle chiral nanostructures.

Amphiphiles Self-Assembly: Basic Concepts and Future Perspectives of Supramolecular Approaches [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2015
Amphiphiles are synthetic or natural molecules with the ability to self-assemble into a wide variety of structures including micelles, vesicles, nanotubes, nanofibers, and lamellae.

Exciton bimolecular annihilation dynamics in supramolecular nanostructures of conjugated oligomers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We present femtosecond transient absorption measurements on $\pi$-conjugated supramolecular assemblies in a high pump fluence regime. Oligo(\emph{p}-phenylenevinylene) monofunctionalized with ureido-\emph{s}-triazine (MOPV) self-assembles into chiral stacks in dodecane solution below 75$^{\circ}$C at a concentration of $4\times 10^{-4}$ M.

Supramolecular Assembly of Peptide Amphiphiles

open access: yesAccounts of Chemical Research, 2017
Conspectus Peptide amphiphiles (PAs) are small molecules that contain hydrophobic components covalently conjugated to peptides. In this Account, we describe recent advances involving PAs that consist of a short peptide sequence linked to an aliphatic ...
