Immune signalling by supramolecular assemblies [PDF]
SummaryFormation of supramolecular assemblies appears to be a general mechanism in immune signalling pathways. These supramolecular assemblies appear to form through a nucleated polymerization mechanism. This review examines selected immune signalling pathways that involve supramolecular assemblies, describes the concepts of protein polymerization, and

Combatting Antibiotic Resistance Using Supramolecular Assemblies
Antibiotic resistance has posed a great threat to human health. The emergence of antibiotic resistance has always outpaced the development of new antibiotics, and the investment in the development of new antibiotics is diminishing.

Autonomous robotic nanofabrication with reinforcement learning [PDF]
The ability to handle single molecules as effectively as macroscopic building-blocks would enable the construction of complex supramolecular structures inaccessible to self-assembly. The fundamental challenges obstructing this goal are the uncontrolled variability and poor observability of atomic-scale conformations. Here, we present a strategy to work

Does Supramolecular Gelation Require an External Trigger?
The supramolecular gelation of small molecules is typically preceded by an external stimulus to trigger the self-assembly. The need for this trigger stems from the metastable nature of most supramolecular gels and can limit their applicability.

Supramolecular assembly of blue and green halide perovskites with near-unity photoluminescence
The metal-halide ionic octahedron is the optoelectronic unit for halide perovskites, and a crown ether–assisted supramolecular assembly approach can pack various ionic octahedra into tunable symmetries.

Molecular Self-Assembly and Supramolecular Chemistry of Cyclic Peptides
This Review focuses on the establishment and development of self-assemblies governed by the supramolecular interactions between cyclic peptides. The Review first describes the type of cyclic peptides able to assemble into tubular structures to form ...

Fine‐Tuning Supramolecular Assemblies by Controlling Micellar Aggregates
Supramolecular assembly can be used to fabricate complex functional materials by organizing simple building blocks. However, it is difficult to control the hierarchical assembly across multiple length scales.

Phase transition to bundles of flexible supramolecular polymers [PDF]
We report Monte Carlo simulations of the self-assembly of supramolecular polymers based on a model of patchy particles. We find a first-order phase transition, characterized by hysteresis and nucleation, toward a solid bundle of polymers, of length much greater than the average gas phase length.
