Supramolecular Polymers

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2001
Various aspects of supramolecular polymer were discussed. The hydrogen bonding enforced by liquid crystallinity and phase separation in the supramolecuar polymers were examined. The supramolecular polymers, based on discotic molecules, such as tryphenylenes, pthalocyanines and porphyrins were also elaborated.

Functional Supramolecular Polymers [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 2012
Supramolecular Polymers Explained While polymers are constructed from chemically bonded units, supramolecular polymers arise through reversible linkages, such as hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions. Recent advances in the field of supramolecular polymer science have moved from a fundamental understanding of assembly ...

Supramolecular Polymer Brushes

open access: yesACS Polymers Au, 2023
Polymer brushes are thin polymer films that consist of densely grafted, chain-end tethered polymers. These thin polymer films can be produced either by anchoring presynthesized chain-end functional polymers to the surface of interest ("grafting to"), or by using appropriately modified surfaces to facilitate growth of polymer chains from the substrate ("

Supramolecular perspectives in colloid science [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Supramolecular chemistry puts emphasis on molecular assemblies held together by non-covalent bonds. As such, it is very close in spirit to colloid science which also focuses on objects which are small, but beyond the molecular scale, and for which other ...
