Surface enhanced fluorescence immuno-biosensor based on gold nanorods

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2023
Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are attractive structures for biosensing, most due to different properties at nanoscale and biocompatibility. Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is one of these properties; LSPR enable the electromagnetic field enhancement closer to metallic surface, which allows surface-enhanced spectroscopies, like surface enhanced ...

Surface-Enhanced Fluorescence for Lipopolysaccharide Analysis Based on Shell-Isolated Nanoparticle

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2023
Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) as the component of cell membrane on gram-negative bacteria played a central role on inflammatory inducer to stimulate a multi-system host response. Herein, a surface-enhanced fluorescent (SEF) sensor was developed for LPS analysis based on shell-isolated nanoparticles (SHINs).

Surfaced-enhanced cellular fluorescence imaging

Progress in Surface Science, 2012
The novel and burgeoning technique of surfaced-enhanced cellular fluorescence imaging has tremendous potential in the monitoring and investigation of intracellular processes at the single-molecular level, for instance, high-resolution cellular imaging, long-term in vivo observation of cell trafficking, tumor targeting, and diagnostics.

Surface Enhanced Fluorescence of Rh6G with Gold Nanohole Arrays

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2011
Five gold nanohole arrays with distinct aperture size were fabricated by magnetron sputtering technique. Fluorescence enhancements of Rh6G fluorophore in the close vicinity of gold nanohole arrays were observed. Up to 40 times increase of fluorescence intensity was obtained from gold nanohole arrays as compared with a smooth gold surface control sample.

Single Nanoparticle Surface Enhanced Fluorescence

2012
It is well established that when in close proximity to gold nanoparticles the optical properties of local fluorescent molecules are dramatically altered. When the localised surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), tuned to the fluorophore absorption band is excited a strong optical enhancement is observed near the nanoparticle due to enhancement in the ...

Surface Enhanced Fluorescence (SEF): Polarization Characteristics

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2010
Nanostructured platforms and specifically, array of nanoholes with subwavelength pitch, have been shown to enhance fluorescence signals. Here, we assess the effect of platform orientation with respect to the incident polarized (exciting) beam on the fluorescence signal of dye molecules, imbedded in the pores of such structures.

Surface Enhanced Fluorescence by Plasmonic Nanostructures

2016
The optically generated collective electron density waves on metal-dielectric boundaries known as surface plasmons have been of great scientific interest since their discovery. Being electromagnetic waves on noble nanostructure’s surface, surface plasmons resonance can strongly enhance the electromagnetic field. These strong electromagnetic fields near

Fabrication of large-area plasmonic nanostructures for surface enhanced fluorescence

2013 13th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE-NANO 2013), 2013
Two different types of large-area plasmonic nanostructures are fabricated on a silicon wafer and on a glass substrate for surface enhanced fluorescence. Ag coated silicon spikes are formed on a silicon substrate by cryogenic inductively coupled plasma reactive ion etching together with e-beam evaporation, and Ag nanoparticles are embedded in glass by ...

Surface‐enhanced fluorescence of in situ synthesized polysilanesilver nanoparticles

Polymer International, 2012
AbstractTo produce surface plasmons, silver nanoparticles are synthesized in situ in a pseudo‐template system based on polyhydrosilanes. Adsorption on the silver nanoparticle surface produces a thin layer of polymer with properties different from those of bulk polysilane.

Surface-enhanced fluorescent immunoassay on 2D silver nanotriangles array

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2014
Long range ordered silver nanotriangles array was fabricated for surface-enhanced fluorescent immunoassay in this paper. By polystyrene (PS) microspheres based LB template method, the silver nanotriangle array with about 100 nm in height was constructed on the surface of glass slide.
