The Effects of Reduced Graphene Oxide Flakes in the Dielectric on Electrical Discharge Machining

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a nonconventional technology that is frequently used in manufacturing for difficult-to-cut conductive materials. Drawbacks to using EDM include the resulting surface roughness and integrity.

Computational Study to Predict the Free-Surface Flow over Non-uniform Stepped Spillway Using ANSYS-CFX

open access: yesPolytechnic Journal, 2020
Using stepped chutes as a structure for controlling flood discharges is applicable for long time. Measuring the depth of flow over that structure is essential for designing of the side walls.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

The secondary ionization wave and characteristic map of surface discharge plasma in a wide time scale

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
The surface discharge is the elementary process in a broad range of low temperature plasma applications. Variation of voltage profiles with different time scales leads to the redistribution of deposited energy as well as electro-hydrodynamic forces of ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Influence of Fine Metal Particles on Surface Discharge Characteristics of Outdoor Insulators

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
Focusing on the influence of fine metal particles on the insulation characteristics of outdoor insulators, spherical micrometer-level iron powders were used to represent fine metal particles of different parameters on a polymer insulator specimen surface.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
