Water Organization and Hydration‐Dependent Hydroxide Transport in Anion Exchange Membranes (AEM)
Hydroxide transport in anion exchange membranes is governed by the organization of water within the polymer rather than by hydration alone. A hydration‐window framework is presented to unify transport, swelling, and mechanical stability, providing guidance for designing durable membranes for fuel cells and other hydroxide‐based electrochemical ...

Engineered Nanotopography to Modulate Growth and Signaling of Neuronal Networks
This study examines the interaction between neurons and nanoscale topographies on engineered substrates. Neurons cultured on nanowires, nanopillars and nanoneedles exhibit enhanced neurite outgrowth, form more organized neuronal circuits, and display improved synaptic connectivity, compared to flat substrates.

Nano-structuring, surface and bulk modification with a focused helium ion beam
We investigate the ability of a focused helium ion beam to selectively modify and mill materials. The sub nanometer probe size of the helium ion microscope used provides lateral control not previously available for helium ion irradiation experiments.

Nanoconfinement‐Induced Second‐Harmonic Circular Dichroism via Chirality–Ferroelectric Coupling
Nanoconfinement of a ferroelectric nematic liquid crystal within a chiral nanoporous sponge yields an enhanced second‐harmonic generation circular dichroism (|gSHG–CD| ≈ 1.1). Polarization‐resolved analysis suggests an additional magnetic‐dipole‐associated nonlinear contribution under nanoconfinement, highlighting chirality–ferroelectric coupling as a ...
