Polarization-Directed Surface Plasmon Polariton Launching
The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2016The relative intensities of propagating surface plasmons (PSPs) simultaneously launched from opposing edges of a symmetric trench structure etched into a silver thin film may be controllably varied by tuning the linear polarization of the driving field.

Introduction to Surface Plasmon-Polariton Waveguides
2010This chapter summarizes basic properties of the main Surface plasmon polariton (SPP) modes. SPPs are electromagnetic (EM) excitations that, being coupled to surface collective oscillations of free electrons in a metal, are bound to and propagate along metal-dielectric interfaces.

Interaction Between the Magnetic Polariton and Surface Plasmon Polariton
Volume 8C: Heat Transfer and Thermal Engineering, 2013This work numerically investigated the interaction between two resonances: the magnetic polariton (MP) and surface plasmon polariton (SPP). A reflectance contour plot of deep silver slit arrays quantitatively identified the MP mode and the SPP excitation’s dependence on the period.

Surface Plasmon Polariton Waveguides
2017The optical properties of SPPs at a metal–dielectric interface inspire a new group of waveguides made of insulating and conducting materials. These novel waveguides are often called plasmonic waveguides or SPP waveguides. Conventional dielectric waveguides guide light by using the refractive index difference between cladding and core media.
