Some relationships between slope‐length, surface‐runoff, and the silt‐load of surface‐runoff
Eos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1935The problem of slope‐length as it affects surface‐runoff and silt‐load has a number of interesting phases. These are related to the fundamental laws of hydrology as well as the practical control of surface‐runoff. It has often been assumed that both the percentage of runoff and the total erosion are greater on long than on short slopes.

Surface runoff and transfer in watersheds
1992The study of crop protection product transfer is closely linked to the considered geographical scale. Two types of watersheds have been studied for that purpose. In the first case, the degradation of fish quality in a Beaujolais river, the Ardières river, has led to question the use of crop protection products.
