Runoff From Impervious Surfaces
Abstract : Numerical procedures form a basis for predicting the runoff from impervious surfaces which accords satisfactorily with the results of extensive field studies undertaken by the Corps of Engineers around 1950. The equations of continuity and of steady, uniform flow are sufficient if information is also available as to the surface resistance ...

A soil-based approach to rainfall-runoff modelling in ungauged catchments for England and Wales [PDF]
Hydrological models are powerful tools for the investigation of many hydrological issues. The historical approach for the development of rainfall-runoff models, with regard to the choice of model structure and the calibration of the free parameters ...

A reconfigurable physical unclonable function is developed using CMOS‐integrated SOT‐MRAM chips, leveraging a dual‐pulse strategy and offering enhanced environmental robustness. A temperature‐compensation effect arising from the CMOS transistor and SOT‐MTJ is revealed and established as a key prerequisite for thermal resilience.

A critical step, dry reforming of methane (DRM) converts biogas into useful syngas. Yet trace H2S in biogas rapidly poisons DRM catalysts, limiting practical use. We developed a robust Pt/CeO2 catalyst sustaining DRM activity via CO2‐induced reverse lattice oxygen spillover in H2S‐rich environments.

ABSTRACT The multifunctional integration of chips with high flexibility and scalable manufacturing is crucial for enhancing chip performance, reducing chip size, and simplifying chip design. However, balancing volume, cost, flexibility, and functionality using traditional heterogeneous integration methods is challenging.

Use of rare earth oxides as tracers to identify sediment source areas for agricultural hillslopes [PDF]
Understanding sediment sources is essential to enable more effective targeting of in-field mitigation approaches to reduce diffuse pollution from agricultural land.

Wavefront Line‐Scan Imaging Via a Single‐Pixel Detector
We propose and demonstrate a wavefront line‐scan imaging paradigm that integrates 1D spatial light modulation with single‐pixel detection. Benefiting from 1D modulation, not only is the imaging speed improved, but also the storage of modulation patterns is reduced by several orders of magnitude.

peer-reviewedChemical amendment of dairy cattle slurry has been shown to effectively reduce incidental phosphorus (P) losses in runoff; however, the effects of amendments on incidental nitrogen (N) losses are not as well documented. This study examined P

Development and application of a soil classification-based conceptual catchment- scale hydrological model [PDF]
A conceptual, continuous, daily, semi distributed catchment-scale rainfall- runoff model that has the potential to be ultimately used in ungauged catchments is described.

An intelligent Au@CeO2 Hybrid Nanoparticles (ACEF) with microenvironment‐dependent self‐adjustability was engineered to not only perform efficient and tumor‐specific photothermal‐chemodynamic therapy for precise tumor elimination, but also serve as a ROS scavenger in healthy tissues around the tumor to avoid the unexpected oxidative damage and ...
