On membrane interactions and a three-dimensional analog of Riemann surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Membranes in M-theory are expected to interact via splitting and joining processes. We study these effects in the pp-wave matrix model, in which they are associated with transitions between states in sectors built on vacua with different numbers of ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Some open problems and conjectures on submanifolds of finite type: recent development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Submanifolds of finite type were introduced by the author during the late 1970s. The first results on this subject were collected in author's books [26,29].

Damped oscillatory integrals and Weierstrass polynomials

open access: yesBulletin of National University of Uzbekistan: Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 2020
In this paper we consider the Sogge-Stein problem related to the damped oscillatory integrals. We show that in three-dimensional Euclidean spaces minimal exponent, which guarantees optimal decaying of the Fourier transform of the surfaces-carried ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Surfaces immersed in su(N+1) Lie algebras obtained from the CP^N sigma models

open access: yes, 2005
We study some geometrical aspects of two dimensional orientable surfaces arrising from the study of CP^N sigma models. To this aim we employ an identification of R^(N(N+2)) with the Lie algebra su(N+1) by means of which we construct a generalized ...

Multifunctional Bio‐Based Packaging for Perishable Foods: Structural Design, Scalable Fabrication, and Versatile Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An overview of design principles and scalable fabrication strategies for multifunctional bio‐based packaging. Radiative cooling films, modified‐atmosphere films/membranes, active antimicrobial/antioxidant platforms, intelligent optical/electrochemical labels, and superhydrophobic surfaces are co‐engineered from material chemistry to mesoscale structure

Existence and uniqueness theorem for convex polyhedral metrics on compact surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We state that any constant curvature Riemannian metric with conical singularities of constant sign curvature on a compact (orientable) surface $S$ can be realized as a convex polyhedron in a Riemannian or Lorentzian) space-form.

Auto‐Routing Fluidic Printed Circuit Boards

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces (STREAM) software tool for routing efficiently advanced macrofluidics, an open‐source software tool for automating the design of 3D‐printable fluidic circuit boards. STREAM streamlines tube routing and layout, enabling the rapid fabrication of fluidic networks for soft robotics, lab‐on‐a‐chip devices, microfluidics, and biohybrid ...

Developable or Not Related to Information Loss

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics Research, 2018
In this paper we present a lemma and two theorems. These theoretical results will be used to test whether or not a given surface model can be developed. We then choose some examples to demonstrate how to perform these tests.
