Fast Neutron Detector Based on Hybrid 2D Perovskite Thin Films
This work presents the direct detection of fast neutrons using flexible hybrid 2D perovskite (PEA2PbBr4) thin‐film detectors. Thanks to their high low‐Z elements content and good charge transport, these materials enable efficient neutron detection. The thin film configuration allowed the operation at low voltage, and offer scalability, flexibility, and

Indications and the requirements for single-use medical gloves
Aim: While the requirements for single-use gloves for staff protection are clearly defined, the conventional medical differentiation between “sterile surgical gloves” used during surgical procedures and “single-use medical gloves” used in non-sterile ...

Diels‐Alder clicks chemistry addresses thermal runaway in lithium‐ion batteries. A thermoresponsive electrolyte with lithium salt in vinylene carbonate (VC) and 2,5‐dimethylfuran (DMFu) operates at room temperature but undergoes Diels‐Alder reactions at high temperatures, enabling a two‐step safety mechanism: a warning phase at ≈100 °C and complete ...

Donning Gloves Before Surgical Gown Cross-contaminates the Assistant
Background: Maintaining a sterile surgical environment is of the upmost importance in total joint arthroplasty. The surgical gown-glove interface is a frequent and known cause of bacterial contamination. A variation of the traditional staff-assisted open-

Magnetically Guided Mechanoactive Mineralization Scaffolds for Enhanced Bone Regeneration
A 3D‐printed ‘rebar‐concrete’ inspired scaffold (PGS‐P@MGel) synergizes spontaneous biomineralization with magneto‐mechanical stimulation through PDA@Fe3O4‐embedded hydrogel. This dual biointerface activates Piezo1/β‐catenin/YAP mechanotransduction axis, enhancing BMSCs osteogenesis and angiogenesis simultaneously.

In this article, Hojin Kim, Sayan Deb Dutta, and co‐workers report a shape‐reconfigurable, 3D printable, and highly adhesive slime‐like ‘electronic skin’ or ‘E‐skin’ patch for human health sensing and tissue engineering applications. The dual reinforcement of hydrogel patch with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) improve the ...

Dynamic Gesture Recognition Using a Smart Glove in Hand-Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery
This paper presents a methodology for movement recognition in hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery using a textile-based sensing glove. The aim is to recognize the commands given by the surgeon’s hand inside the patient’s abdominal cavity in order to guide
